Birdlife

The nature reserve is home to a variety of birds with almost 120 species recorded to date. Just over 50 of these breed here, with others over-wintering and some passing through on their spring and autumn migration.

Breeding Birds

Winter Visitors

Some examples of winter visitors are:   

• Teal

• Little grebe

• Redwing

• Fieldfare

Passage Migrants

• Osprey
• Hobby
• Common sandpiper
• Spotted flycatcher
• Redstart
