Calendar competition
Submit your photos to win a place in the Stour Valley Calendar!
Each year, we look for seasonal photos of Stour Valley for our calendar. We sell the calendar in our visitor centre, to raise money for projects run by The Parks Foundation.
We are looking for seasonal scenic views as well as wildlife pictures taken on the Stour Valley Nature Reserve. We are looking for cheerful and colourful rather than moody and atmospheric. Ideally, the photos will be landscape and not feature any people.
Closing date
The closing date for photo entries will be 31 August 2022. There is a maximum of 6 entries per person. Winning photos will be announced by 30 September 2022. Photos will be voted for by our team of staff and volunteers.
Winners will be featured in our 2023 calendar and will receive a free copy of the calendar. The photo with the most votes will feature on the front page of the calendar and the photographer will also receive a £10 Hengistbury Head gift voucher.
Competition rules for the 2023 calendar
- The competition is free to enter and is open to all ages.
- The closing date for each month is the last day of each month (up to June).
- Entries must be emailed to lisa@parksfoundation.org.uk and please make sure that 'Photo Competition' is typed in the subject of the email.
- The file must be at least 1mb in size in order to be printed in the calendar.
- Entries will not be accepted by post and any postal entries will not be entered or returned.
- Telephone or e-mail confirmation of receipt is not available.
- Entries are limited to 6 per person.
- The judges’ decision is final.
- The photographer retains copyright and will be credited if their photo is successful.
- Winners will be notified by 30 September 2022.
- If people feature in your photograph (not recommended), you must obtain their written permission to use the photograph for the calendar, in accordance with GDPR (For more information visit the Information Commisioner's Office website).
